Abstract:

The current research was conducted with the aim of the effect of attachment style on emotion regulation with the mediating role of identity style. The research method was descriptive and structural equation analysis. The statistical population of the research was all second year high school students of Kashan city in the academic year of 1400-1401, of which 500 people were selected by random cluster method. Data were collected based on three questionnaires: Gross & Jan (2003) Emotional Regulation Inventory, Identity Style Scale (6G-ISI) and Collins and Reid (1990) Attachment Style Questionnaire. The data are obtained by structural equation modeling and using Laserl 8.8 and 26 spss software. analyzed. Based on the results, secure attachment style at a significance level of 0.01, avoidant attachment style at a significance level of 0.05, and ambivalent attachment style at a significance level of 0.01 directly predicted emotion regulation. Among the three attachments, secure attachment style predicted emotion regulation at a significant level of 0.01, with the mediation of identity styles. Informational identity style at a significance level of 0.01, confused identity style at a significance level of 0.05 directly predicted emotion regulation. Among the three attachments, only the secure attachment style at a significance level of 0.01 had a significant role in predicting the normative identity style. According to the results of this study, emotion regulation is one of the most important constructs of educational psychology and an important factor in determining mental health and successful performance. It is in education that the factors affecting emotion regulation and its antecedents should be identified. Planning for training and holding educational workshops in this field in schools is suggested for students.

Abstract:

Background: Myofascial pain syndrome of upper trapezius muscle is common; reports about successful treatment with style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling and physical therapy have been published. This study was performed with the objective of comparing the efficacy of these two treatment modalities in relieving the symptoms in patients with myofascial pain in the trapezius referred to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center at the Shohadaye Tajrish Hospital from Apr 2009 to March 2010.Methods: It was a randomized controlled trial performed on 28 patients. After matching age, sex, duration of symptoms, pain severity, pain pressure threshold of trigger point and quality of life measures, subjects were randomly put in to subgroups of case (style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling) or control (physical therapy). One week and one month after receiving treatment, outcomes and intra and inter group changes in pain severity, pain pressure threshold of trigger point and quality of life measures were evaluated and compared. Results: 28 subjects in two 14 patients groups took part in this study. After one month of both physical therapy and style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling, there was a decrease in resting, night and activity pain levels, (p<0.05). Pain pressure threshold of trigger point, scores of physical functioning, role limitation due to physical problems, social functioning and bodily pain were improved (p<0.05). Results were similar in the two groups, (p<0.4).Conclusion: It seems that both physical therapy modalities and style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling have equal effect in decreasing myofascial pain of upper trapezius muscle.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of Betadine mouthwash on reducing the style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry socket appearing. Methods and Materials: A single blind study was conducted on 199 patients with 277 tooth sockets of extracted teeth. Cases were divided into two groups of control and study. They were selected from those referred to Oral and Maxillofacial Dept. in Tabriz Dental School. Results: The use of 1% Betadine mouthwash seems to have a significant effect on the prevention of style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry socket formation (P=0.0195). Some predisposing factors for style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry socket which were also evaluated such a smoking, oral hygiene, trauma, systemic disease with a clear effect on the formation of the style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry socket. Conclusion: 1% Betadine mouthwash like other mouthwashes can reduce the incidence of style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry socket.

Abstract:

Background: In this research project, our aim was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of autologous blood transfusion (ABI) and style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling techniques in patients with refractory lateral epicondylitis. Methods: This study was performed as a randomized clinical trial on 32 patients with refractory or recurrent lateral epicondylitis. After enrolling in the study, patients were divided into two treatment groups. In the first group, patients were treated with style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling method and in the second group, with ABI. Patients' pain was measured and compared by two methods of visual analog scale (VAS) and Patient-Rated Tennis Elbow Evaluation (PRTEE) before the interventions, and 1 and 3 months after the intervention. Findings: Based on both criteria, 1 and 3 months after treatment, there was significant reduction in pain in both blood transfusion and style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry needling groups. There was no significant difference between the groups in reducing pain over time based on VAS and PRTEE criteria. Conclusion: Pain scores according to both VAS and PRTEE criteria significantly decreased in both groups at 1 and 3 months after the interventions.

Abstract:

style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">Dry cupping is one of the main procedures in many traditional medicine systems all around the world with its root in antiquity. Traditional method of style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry cupping is depended on practitioner proficiency and can lead to skin burn if the practitioner is a beginner. On the other hand, Zahrawi (11th century AD), the Muslim physician from Andulus (current Spain) presented two novel forms of cup for cupping to improve and correct cupping problems. In this regards, based on the model described in Al-Tasreef, we tried to redesign and manufacture the tools. These tools were made from galvanized iron owing to its nonconductivity of heat. Zahrawi models were compared with traditional model (with the same material and size) by negative pressure of mercury as well as qualitative test performed by a traditional practitioner. The results showed the superiority of Zahrawi’s models (9792Pa and 10200Pa) over the traditional model, displaying a better and more stable vacuum pressure (mean: 8704 Pa with variation in repeat the test). Furthermore, the introduced models are user friendly; i.e., every practitioner, even the beginner without specialized skill, may work with them easily. Therefore, the new model is suggested for style="font-style:inherit;color:rgb(255,0,120);">dry cupping.
